Art Show
Wakefield Country Day School in Huntly will hold its annual spring ART SHOW on Saturday, May 13 in the school garden.
The show is open to all area private and public school students in grades 1-9.
There will be three categories: 1. painting and drawing; 2. sculpture; and 3. photography. Students may make entries in any one or all three categories.
In the category of painting and drawing (oil, pastels, acrylics, water color, pencil, ink, charcoal, etc.) there will be three classes: BEGINNER (grades 1, 2, and 3); INTERMEDIATE (grades 4, 5, and 6); and ADVANCED (grades 7, 8, and 9).
In the categories of sculpture and photography, there will be one class only (grades 1-9).
Judging will be done by a panel of impartial, professional artists. Cash prizes of up to $15 will be awarded to the winners in each category, and a plaque will be awarded to the school having the greatest number of winners.
