Conservation District Directors
An election of Directors for the Culpeper Soil and Water Conservation District will be held in the general election on November 7, 1978. The District encompasses the counties of Orange, Greene, Madison, Rappahannock and Culpeper, including any incorporated towns therein. Candidates for elected Directors must reside within the boundaries of the county lor incorporated town within the county) which such candidates shall represent upon election. Two Directors shall be elected to represent all the citizens within each county, including incorporated towns within the county. Nominating petitions for the office of Director must be filed with the Virginia Soil and Water Conservation Commission no later than 5:00 p.m. (E.D.T.) on June 13, 1978. Each petition must be signed by twenty-five or more registered voters residing within the boundary of the county, including incorporated towns.
