Beard To Visit
Delegate George Beard, Rappahannock's Representative in the Virginia General Assembly, will be at the court house in Washington on December 12 from 3 to 4 p.m. to hear from county residents. Anyone with a concern relating to state law or policy is urged to come and speak with Delegate Beard. Under consideration in the upcoming session of the General Assembly that convenes on January 10 will be repeal of the Dillon Rule, revisions to enabling legislation for use value taxation and the Agriculture and Forestal District Act and a bill to authorize purchase of development rights under a proposed Agricultural Land Preservation Foundation.
