Board member Alan Stokes interjected that he remembered an agreement to waive fees and proposed a consultation with Maurice O'Bannon, Rappahannock’s representative on the Piedmont Board.
Bloomer reported that the county had contributed to operating costs but not to capital outlay expenditures during the seven years when no Rappahannock students were enrolled at Piedmont.
Noting that budget figures in Rappahannock files correspond with figures from Piedmont, Bloomer said that the regional school was ‘‘attempting to establish equal equity from beginning to end” among all participating school divisions. According to the Superintendent, 50 students from Rappahannock attended the regional school in 1975-'76. 56 in 1976-’77 and 59 in 1977-’78. This year, he said, 88 students enrolled in Piedmont classes although he noted that “slightly less”—66 students—actually attended as of last week. The board agreed to table action on the
