The Area Beef Management School will be next Wednesday, December 13, Graves Mountain Lodge. Syria, Virginia. I would like to urge every beef cattle producer to attend as the information to be presented will help you to improve yotlr herd management and remain competitive. Get there early. 9:30 a.m. for coffee and visiting.

The program starts at 10:00 a.m. with Tom Bibb, D.V.M. Dr. Bibb is a practicing Veterinarian and Professor of Vet Science, V.P.l. Tom, a man who has earned a reputation throughout the state as an outstanding speaker, will discuss curing your most costly herd problems, Lepto, calf scours, pinkeye, IBR, BVD, and there will be time for questions.

11:15 a.m.—Dr. John Gerkin will present an update on growth implants for calves and feeder cattle, and winter rations for stockers for Spring and Fall sale. John, a former County Agent in Clarke County is currently Extension Livestock Nutrition Specialist at V.P.L, and is one of the most knowledgeable Extension workers 1 know.
