The diversion payment, based on the corn and sorghum acreage a producer diverts from production, will be SI per bushel times the farm program payment yield times the acreage diverted.
According to T. R. Taylor, the 1979 program contains no restrictions on the acreage a producer participating in the diversion program could plant to feed grains.

Hans Mullikin, the 39year-old lay Baptist minister from Marshall, Texas, who crawled across Rappahannock County last month, made it to the White House gates the day before Thanksgiving.
According to Mullikin, he undertook his two and onehalf year, 1,600 mile crawl to show America it could get on its knees and repent. He had hoped to be able to meet with the President but was told by an aide that Carter’s schedule was too tight for a visit.
