The annual Flint Hill Fireman’s Carnival opened last night and continues through Saturday, August 4, at the carnival grounds next to the fire house in Flint Hill.
It is the Fire Department’s biggest fund raising event of the year.
On Thursday, August 2, at 6:30 p.m., the grand parade will take place on the streets of Flint Hill. The newly crowned Miss Virginia, Darlene McIntosh from Chesapeake, will be featured in the parade. Also inlcuded will be fire and rescue units,
floats, bands from Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Virginia, majorette groups. Shrine and legion units and many other participants.
