Mrs. Davis reported that she’d helped organize a music festival held at the mill in 1951 and recalled stagnant water, snakes, frogs and mosquitoes under the building. “I think the flood plain line extends under the building," she said.
She also noted that she came before the Planning Commission last year with a rezoning request as part of a proposal to restore an old barn and use it for a commercial business. “And you all turned me down,” said Mrs. Davis, adding that Kramer had opposed her rezoning application on the grounds that all business and commerce should be kept in the town.
