“When I first started doing ceramics in my home, I had absolutely no idea of what I was doing. I had no formal instruction. My lessons were simply trial and error,” said Mrs. Woodrow Bennett who took up this creative art to make spending money. But now she gives classes twice a week to two different groups, and with her experience, offers to help anyone who comes to her.
Mrs. Bennett who lives at Boston was bom and reared in Rappahannock and has always led a very active life. She likes living and working outside. Before developing an interest in ceramics, she made concrete flower pots. But, as she progressed with these, and the pots became* larger, she found that she couldn’t lift them by herself, so now her husband has taken up this craft as his hobby.
