Funeral services for Julian Earle Wayland, 82, of Sperryville were conducted Tuesday at Gesst Funeral Home, Culpeper, with burial in Fairview Cemetery.
Mr. Wayland died Saturday, July 28, 1979 at Warren Memorial Hospital ih Front Royal. A native of Sperryville, he was the son of the late John Ernest Wayland and the late Lorena Brown Wayland. He was a farmer and a veteran of World War I.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Jessie Brown Wayland; a daughter, Mrs. Kathryn Hall of Front Royal; four sons, James Wayland of Alexandria, Julian E. Wayland Jr., of Lovettsville, Richard V. Wayland of Boston and Lawrence B. Wayland of Viewtown; 13 grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren, and a sister, Mrs. Margaret Bliz of Seattle, Wash.
