Planners Not Guilty
Miller objected to Luke’s lumping the Planning Commission in with other governing bodies in his allegations that county ordinances weren’t applied equally to everyone.
“I don’t think the Planning Commission is guilty of the situation he’s describing but if we approved this, we would be.” He added that his opposition was not directed personally at Kramer and noted that as mayor of Washington he’d supported two other requests from Kramer on property in town. Rezoning the old mill, however, “is a precedent I don’t want to get involved with,” Miller said.
