Textbooks for the 1979-80 school year will be on sale at the elementary and high schools on Thursday, August 23, from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. To avoid unnecessary confusion during the first days of school, parents are urged to purchase textbooks before classes begin.

Text book rental fees for the coming year were established by the School Board at its August 14 meeting. For students in grades kindergarten through third, rental will be $13. For grades four through seven, rental will be $20 with reading workbooks purchased as needed at school cost.

High school students will be required to pay $4 per book for texts in English, math, science and social studies. In addition, they will pay a $3.50 materials fee. Other school fees for vocational and science classes
