The following letter was written to Col. Luke by Sen. Nathan Miller after a visit to the Board of Supervisors last December, and shows that Sen. Miller not only appeared at a meeting, but followed through on a request by the Board. “Dear Mr. Luke:
Just a brief note to tell you how much I enjoyed visiting with the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors several weeks ago. At that meeting,' you raised a question concerning a Federal law dealing with tax exemptions for farms. Enclosed is the information I received from Congressman Robinson’s Office, which I hope will answer your question...

Perhaps Dr. Schlabach will now reconsider statements he made at the August meeting of the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors alleging that our representatives in Richmond have failed to maintain contact with local government.
