Heart Award for showing true camping spirit and the Spirit of Camp award went to Aaron Schumaker. Michael DeLuise won the honor for the First Year Camper.
In archery, David Coffey and Becky Williams brought home first place trophies, Cindy Hunter second place and James Dennis and Julie Burke third place trophies. Jim Murray received a medal for most improved archer.
Special awards presented by the junior leaders went to Sean Clevenger, Jon McCullough and Bart Secrist.
Junior leaders attending camp were Kelly Gilkey, Courtney Jones, Paul Keithly, Joe McCullough and Gary Settle. Adult leaders were Kim Gilkey, Rap Owings and Nancy Secrist.
John Burke of the Gid Brown Bible Church weathered several renditionsof “One Hundred Bottles of Beer on the Wall” while he drove the excited campers to and from Powell’s Fort and Jimmie Falls carried piles of luggage and sleeping bags in his truck.
As camp nurse, Lois Peterson of Washington was on hand in case of accidents during the week at camp.
