Planning under John Gardner. In 1976, Oeltinger coordinated the world's first International Conference on Adolescent Fertility. Oettinger has concentrated more and more as the years have passed on the "problem of adolescent fertility." It is directly from this involvement that Oettinger's book has arisen.
