With the state of emergency proclamation adopted by the Rappahannock Board of Supervisors and signed by Virginia Governor John Dalton, certain assistance programs are available to those who suffered damages in the August 28 floods.
Jim Allen, county supervisor from the Farmers Home Administration, (FmHA), will be in the basement conference room of the clerk’s office on Friday, September 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., to take applications for low interest farm disaster loans. Allen will also be at the clerk’s office on Wednesday, September 12 from noon to 6 p.m. and on Friday, September 14 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m.
