Cover Floyd Baker, Sr., 48, of Blue Hill Farms, Amissville died in Warren County Saturday, September 1, 1979.
Funeral services will be held today, Thursday, from the chapel of Maddox Funeral Home, Front Royal, conducted by the Rev. Irving Johnson. Interment will be in the ; Masonic Cemetery, Washington, Va.
Mr. Baker was born May 1, 1931, in Virginia, son of Eva Fincham Baker Prince of Front Royal and the ljfte William F. Baker.
Surviving with his mother, are his widow, Jenella Baker; three sons. Cover F. Baker, Jr. of Washington, William E. Baker of Fort Still. Okla. and Douglas Baker of Amissville; two daughters. Barbara Baker of Texas and Evelyn R. Baker of Amissville; eight sisters, Shirley Hamm and Dorothy Mayhugh, both of Front Royal, Sally Fewell of Fairfax, Gertrude Jenkins of Manassas, Eva Mae Sutherland of Arlington, Edith Cook of Opal, Ada Pyne of Culpeper and Helen Kerns of Baltimore, Md.; two half-brothers, Jimmy Lee Prince of Baltimore. Md. and Wade Prince of Manassas; and three grandchildren.
Jones
Graveside services for Edward (Ned) Moffett Jones, 67, of “Delamore” at Washington were held Monday at Washington Masonic Cemetery, conducted by the Rev. David Moore. Mr. Jones died Saturday, September 1, 1979 in Warren Memorial Hospital, Front Royal.
He was a lifelong resident of Rappahannock County, where he served as county clerk for 14 years until his retirement in 1977.
Mr. Jones was president of the Virginia Horticultural Society and the National Apple Institute. He was moderator of the Shiloh Baptist Association and was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Byrd Gravatt Jones; two daughters, Mrs. Arne Olsen of Concord and Mrs. Raymond Kite of Luray; one son, E. M. Jones Jr. of Louisville, Ky.; 6 grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Lewis J. Turner of Washington.
Pallbearers were Clifford Miller, J. W. Fletcher, John Turner, William S. Dewhirst, John Segar Gravatt, Mongure Gravatt, John Baumgardner and P. Lee Thornton III.
