There are lots of folks just like me out there in radio land. For years, WEER hs filled the void for us. Our tastes run a little more low brow than classical, a little more high brow than “Top 40” and somewhere parallel to country and blue grass.
PEER’S deejays have worked hard to satisfy our wants. They play a variety of sounds designed to appeal to long-in-the-tooth rockers. Selections are taken primarily from albums, some new and some not so new, recorded by the best musicians and vocalists rock *n’ roll has to offer.
And sometimes, if we feel a little cultured. WEER has classical music on Sunday morning. If we feel religious, WEER has gospel. On Thursday evening, the station broadcasts jazz. On Saturday morning, swing enthusists can hear the big band sound and on Saturday afternoon, country pickers can tune in to blue grass.
WEER’s owners are considering a change in format because they think nobody out there’s listening. We can prove otherwise by writing to WEER, Box 817. Warrenton and showing our support for the kind of music the station currently features.
