Sperryville By-Pass

“The only road pattern not decided on is Sperryville. Will it be by-passed or not,” said Miller as the planners briefly scanned the draft chapter on transportation goals.

“If you approve this agricultural district, it won’t be by-passed,” planner Pete Estes maintained, referring to a highway department optjon for improvements to Route 211 that called for a new, double lane road to bypass the town by going through property belonging to C. E. Johnson Jr. of Sperryville.
