Rappahannock’s agricultural advisory committee recommended to the planning commission last week that the county's first agricultural and forestral district be aproved.
The application filed by C. E. “Ned” Johnson covers 750 acres of land in the Sperryville area. The property, owned and farmed by the Johnsons since 1940, includes 112 acres of apple orchards, 90 acres of hay fields, 320 acres of pasture, 210 acres of timber and 11 acres of “waste” land.
