A Good Year
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Washington Volunteer Fire and Rescue Squad reports a good year in 1979, according to Ruth Gark, president. The Thrift Shop grossed $1667.55.
The shop is closed for the winter morihs, however, articles may be left at the back of the fire house or pick-up can be arranged by calling 675-3608.
Brown Completes
Training
Airman Wade T. Brown, son of Marlon K. Hagerty of Sperryville, has been assigned to Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas, after completing basic training.
During the six weeks at Lackland Air Force Base, Brown studied the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations. By completing basic training, he earned credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force.
Brown will now receive specialized instruction in the communications field.
He is a 1979 graduate of Rappahannock County High School.
