Special Ed Plan In the 1980-81 term, the updated six-year-plan for special ed calls for: —a learning disabilities teacher for a self-contained classroom at the elementary school to handle students previously served at Piedmont. The regional school will offer no learning disabled classes next year. —co-ordinator for special services. —an additional half-time speech therapist to accomodate anticipated increase in caseload of the current full-time therapist,

—an additional day for the school psychologist, increasing the time spent serving Rappahannock students from three days to four,

—an additional day for the pre-school child development specialist, bringing that position up from four days per week to full-time.

The vote to approve the six-year plan for special education was unanimous with Eastham abstaining.

In addition Lto the'special ed plan, the school board voted unanimously to approve the updated five-yearplan for vocational education. The vocational plan calls for neither new personnnel nor new programs.
