The Northern Virginia Forage Conference will meet next Thursday, March 6 at the Middleburg Community Center. The program starts at 9:15 a.m. with Dr. Joe Fontenot discussing current beef feed research.
Other topics of interest to progressive Rappahannock jaunty fanners will include Preservatives and Additives for Hay and Silage; Use of New Soil Testing and Plant Tissue Analysis; Handling and Feeding Large Round Bales; Practical Ways for Establishing Legumes in Grass Sods; and Cow Calf Forage Systems Research.
The program will conclude with a tour of the Research Station to see research in progress.
This annual event offers you the opportunity to keep up with new developments in agriculture reserach and to visit with friends and leading farmers from throughout the Northern Virginia area.
