Beef Cook-Off
Has Cash Prize
First prize of $100 will be offered to the First place winner in the Virginia Beef Cook-Off Contest sponsored by the Virginia Cowbelles.
Recipes must contain a minimum of two pounds and not more than five pounds of beef, using chuck, round, rump, fresh brisket or ground beef in any form. Recipes must be specific and must state the number of servings, preparation time and cost per serving.
Mail entries to the 1980 Virginia Beef Cook-Off, Virginia Deparment of Agriculture and Consumer Services, P. O. Box 1163, Richmond, Va. 23209. Entries must be postmarked by March 31, 1980.
Winners will be announced by June 15. Contestants must be 18 years or older. The Virginia winner will be expected to compete in the National Beef Cook-Off held in Phoenix, Arizona, on September 3 and 4 with all travel and lodging expenses reimbursed.
