Bird Limits
The Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries, meeting in Richmond last week, set seasons and bag limits for migratory game birds.
This year’s dove seasoa will run from September 6 through November 1, and from December 20, 1980 through January 1, 1981. Hunting hours will be from noon until sunset. Bag limit is 12 birds per day, with 24 in possession.
The season for king, clapper and sora rails will run from September 6 through November 14th. Woodcock season this year will be October 20 through December 6. and January 1, 1981 through January 17th. The falconry season for doves, rails and woodcock will be from September 19 through December 8, and December 20 through January 1, 1981.
