Freeman climbed that obstacle last week with a four-day stint in Manhattan where he took an intensive mini-course on projectors. “And I mean intensive. We didn’t sleep for four days," he laughed.
A resident of Rappahannock since 1972, Freeman spent the past two and a half years in New York City where his last job was for a television sound state. Turning over the possibilities of reopening the Gay Street Theater, “I felt like a light bulb went off in my head. With the connections I made working for the TV sound stage, I could locate the projection and sound equipment!”
