Season Set
The Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fisheries has set seasons and bag limits for migratory game birds.
This year’s dove season will run from Sept. 6 through Nov. 1, and from Dec. 20 through Jan. 1. Hunting hours will be from noon until sunset. Bag limit is 12 birds per day, with 24 in possession.
The season for king, clapper and sora rails will run from Sept. 6 through Nov. 14. Woodcock season this year will be Oct. 20 through Dec. 6, and Jan. 1 through 17.
