(Continued from Page 1) construction ot an auditorium-gymnasium adjoining the back of the original building, providing for the town, a center not only for assemblies, but church services. plays, movies, basketball games, dances, carnivals and fairs, as well.
Library facilities were sparse, containing less than 100 books in 1920. But by 1030. the library had grown to almost Five thousand volumes. which were available to town inhabitants and served as a kind of community library.
Two small buildings were transported from their original location in Gid Brown Hollow and were reconstructed on the school grounds in 1933 to provide additional space for primary, shop. and agricultural classes. A school lunchroom, built and equipped by voluntary contributions a few years later, was housed in this building, as well. There, students were supplied with hot lunches for as little as twentv cents.
