Fouls dominated the third ehukker with Greenhalgh sneaking one in at the bell to put Blue Ridge back into the lead.
Middleburg came back from half time revitalized. Fannon tied it up three minutes into the period, while Harmon van der Woude Jr.'s under-the-neck shot at the end of the ehukker put the home squad in front for the first time.
The quartets traded tallies in the fifth to leave Middleburg on top 6-5 going into the final seven minutes. ,
All-Stars Split
With Madison
The Rappahannock Athletic Association’s AllStar baseball team split a doubleheader with Madison last Saturday. Both games were close with county youngsters losing the first game by one run and then coming back to edge out their opponents by the same margin in the second contest.
The opener went into extra innings before the RAA stars lost. 8-7. Anthony Porter with two hits and three runs was the standout player offensively for Rappahannock.
H. B. Wood and Chuckv Jenkins connected for a triple each and both scored runs. Also crossing the plate for RAA were Mark and Rob Brown.
Rappahannock won the second game, 10-9. sparked by hits from Mark and Rob Brown. Douglas Barnes, Gary Jenkins and Thomas Williams. All 'ive scored as did Chris Foster, Troy Jenkins. Adam Clatterbuck and H. B. Wood.
