Armed with a divining rod, Donald Turner of Front Royal tackled Washington’s water crisis on Monday. In just a few minutes, the “water witch” found what he described as a large underground cave filled with water and Wednesday afternoon drilling began at the site Turner pinpointed. The town will soon know whether or not it has the answer to its water problems.
"It’s really unscientific, but what else can we do?” asked Mayor Miller who remained slightly skeptical of Turner’s art even though he held the wands himself as they swayed and waved over the hoped-for water source.
