The greatest reduction was reported by Madison County where activity for 1980 was down almost 26 per cent from 82 units in 1979 to 61 in 1980. Fauquier dropped from 443 unit* authorized in 1979 to 351 in 1980, a decrease of 20.8 per cent. In Orange, units approved declined from 210 to 165, 21.4 per cefft^
In Rappahannock, housing units approved totaled 50 in 1979 and 52 in 1980 while in Culpeper the increase was 10.2 per cent, from 147 in 1979 to 162 in 1980.
