Congratulations to H. L. Man waring. Red Oak Ranch at Woodville and Newbill Miller. Ginger Hill Farm, Washington, for receiving the Virginia Beer Cattle Association Get of Sire Award.
Each year the Association recognizes the member of each major breed of beef cattle whose bulls obtained the highest 365 day weights in the Virginia Central Bull Test Stations.
Newbill Miller was winner of the Angus on the get of Linebacker of Wye. Four bulls tested had an average adjusted 365 day weight of 1,113 pounds.
Topping the Charolais breed. H. L. Manwaring, four bulls tested by Wamplers McJubel P. with an average adjusted 365 day weight of 1.164 pounds.
