“We have to go ahead," Massie replied. “We can say we know what type of building we want and have talked with companies that can build it.” The highway department has confirmed its agreement to rent the building for 5100 per month but “We don’t have a lease agreement now,” she noted.
“I think we should select the type of building and get estimates and leave it at that,” Miller said.
The discussion was set for the November or December meeting.
Concerned Parents
At last week’s meeting the board also heard from Robert Dennis who said he represented a “group of parents concerned about the future of public education in Rappahannock County which has been meeting throughout the summer.”
He said he wanted to “commend the board for its action on teacher salaries to reduce the rate of turnover...Now we want you to go to work deligently to improve the plant, especially at the high school.
Dennis noted that some have complained there has been “too much emphasis on emotion and too little on
