Tha marriage of Miss Paula Marie Butler, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul Frederick Butler, to Danny Lloyd Sims, son of Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd L. Sims, all of Boston, took place August 1, 1981, at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church.
The 6 o’clock ceremony was performed by the Rev. William Lancaster. A prelude of classical selections was presented by Miss Lou Ellen Thornhill, pianist, and Mrs. Joyce Bennett, organist. Soloists were Miss Sharon Settle of Amissville, Miss Elizabeth Freeman and Gary Lee, both of Albemarle.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a formal gown of ivory silk peau de soie with bodice of Alencon lace and a Queen Anne neckline. The long sleeves were edged with a ruffle. Her long veil of illusion edged in lace fell from a Juliet cap, and she carried a cascade of silk roses and baby’s breath.
Miss Natalie Butler was maid of honor for her sister. Her long pink gown was designed with a deep cape of scalloped lace and a full pleated skirt. She carried a nosegay of pink silk rosebuds, blue forget-me-nots and baby’s breath.
Bridesmaids included Mrs. Joan Johnston of Culpeper, sister of the bridegroom, Miss Rhonda Foster, Sperryville, Miss Melanie Thornhill and Miss Carolyn Sue Butler, both of Boston and both cousins of the
