Estabrook said Yowell had offered also to conduct a general electrical study to detect any other potential problems, especially in the boiler room. The superintendent said Yowell’s bill for this project will be less than $1,500 which means the board will not have to advertise the work for bids.

Regarding the OSHA citation on the shop operation, Estabrook said Robert Clatterbuck had estimated the remaining work could be done for $1,136. Since that also was under the $1,500 bid limit, Estabrook recommended that the board authorize Oatterbuck to proceed, but that he not be paid until an OSHA official inspects all his work prior to school opening and certifies that it meets approval.
