Jenkins Reunion The annual reunion for relatives and friends of the late Luther E. and Ada F. Jenkins will be held Sunday, August 23, beginning at 10 a.m. at the picnic area at Graves Mountain Lodge, Syria. All those attending are asked to bring a picnic lunch which will be eaten at 1 p.m.
Anniversary Members of the Promise Land Baptist Church near Washington will celebrate the fifth anniversary of their pastor, the Rev. John R. Pendleton on Sunday, August 23, at 3 p.m. The Rev. Carter Alsberry of Strasburg will be guest speaker and special music will be provided. The public is invited.
