Bridges
Bobby H. Bridges, 51, of Chantilly, and formerly of Culpeper, died Thursday, August 13, 1981, at his residence.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday at the Green Funeral Home in Herndon. Burial was in Stonewall Memory Gardens.
Bom in East Gulf, W. Va., he was the son of James and Lucy Bridges. He was a member of the Ashburn Presbyterian Church in Ashburn. He was a drywall finisher.
Survivors include his wife, Ellen; two daughters, Susan Chiarello of Hartford, Conn, and Zella Bridges of Chantilly; seven sisters. Hazel Payne of Orlando, Fla., Charlotte Robinson of Princeton, W. Va., Mary Cockerham of Culpeper, Wanda Slye of Wichita Falls, Texas, Sarah Baldwin of Amissville, Patricia McLean and Jacqueline Farmer, both of Manassas; four brothers, Frank Bridges of Salem, Quincy Bridges of Leesburg and Virgil Bridges and James Bridges, both of Bealeton, and one grandchild.
Lewis
Richard Daniel Lewis, 40, of Washington, D. C., a former resident of Sperryville, died Saturday, August 15, 1981 in Washington. He was an employee of the U. S. Government Printing Office.
He is survived by his father, Charlie Lewis of Sperryville; five brothers, Harry F. and Thomas, both of Sperryville, Charles and James, both of Washington, D. C. and Andrew Lewis of Maryland; five sisters. Misses Virginia and Harriett Lewis of Washington, D. C., Mrs. Mae Proctor and Mrs. Betsy Miles, both of Maryland and Mrs. Anna Allsberry of Manassas.
A funeral service will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Hopewell Baptist Church at Sperryville, conducted by the Rev. U. S. Brokenburr. Burial will be in the National Cemetery in Culpeper.
