With the opening of the 1981-82 school year only a week away, parents are reminded to pay book rental fees at the elementary school on Tuesday, August 25. between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Rental fees are $18 for grades kindergarten through third and $27 for grades fourth through seventh. In addition, students will be charged for reading workbooks as they are needed throughout the year.
Pupils entering Rappahannock County Elementary School for the first time must have a copy of their health examination on file in the school or else present it on the opening day of school. No student will be admitted without one.
On the first day of school, August 27, classes will be dismissed early, at 2 p.m. All new students who plan to go home on the bus on Thursday should ride the bus to school that morning. This prevents confusion at the end of the day caused by children who do not know which bus to ride.
