The <*rock pickles pictured were made by Karen Bear. She told us that they were also called German pickles and that her recipe came from Mrs. Kermit Weakley of Washington. Mrs. Weakley said that her recipe came, years ago, from Irene Kryser. Rinse well so that all soil drains off.

— When picking cucumbers, cut theip from the vines, leavin^ashort bit of stem on the fjruit. If pulled off the vines, they are likely to rot where the stem was broken from the skin.
