This year’s 4-H Day Camp was directed by Birgitt Thornhill and she deserves congratulations. Everything went smoothly, even on the last day when an unexpected thunderstorm tried to spoil the fun of the activities.
Also helping run the camp were the many teachers of the classes—canoeing, archery, swimming, sewing, crafts, nature and woodworking.
Helping out the teachers were the junior leaders who led the different color groups—red, blue, yellow and green. There were at least two for each group of 10 or more kids.
The junior leaders watched the kids during lunch in the morning and went with them to their different activities in the afternoon.
