Home Economics
In the home economics division of the farm show, Sherri Kid well placed second with her insect collection in the hobby division, Matthew Owings placed first with his rock collection, and Jane Kidwell placed second with her charcoal sketch.
Horse and Pony Club
The Horse and Pony Club held its first summer clinic in Hume. The clinic was instructed by club leaders Jane Narramore and Sherry Hamill plus several guest lecturers. The clinic included an intensive riding period, a lecture demonstration and some fun on horseback.

The second horse and pony clinic was held in early August and included preparation for showing, a concentrated riding sessibn and a lecture demonstration as well as jumping and games in the afternoon.
