Apples: Orchardists are over mid-way through the apple harvest. This year’s Rappahannock apples have a quality finish, good color, high sugar content, and are the best tasting in years. It’s a good time to buy your apple canning and fresh fruit supply. Visit your favorite orchardist and take your city friends along.

A challenge team from Rappahannock traveled to Nelson County last weekend for an invitational co-rec volley tournament.
The local contingent of three men and three women included Jeanne Drevas, Nan 'Reddick, Maureen Day, Scott Ziemer, Ernie Coates and Bob Haase. They compiled a record of 14 wins and only one loss to bring home the first place trophy.
