(Continued from Page 6) some ice cream. We went to the snack bar. Lee let us in and told us to get our ice cream. We opened the freezer and there was a person sitting in it. Laurie and 1 yelled as loud as we could and believe me that’s loud. It turned out to be the cook. They really scared us. So we had a little fun and played that trick on the rest of them. It worked!
We had a dance Thursday night. The cande gave everyone a chance to find out who liked whom. I found out

and Pony

After the last clinic, the Rappahannock 4-H'ers held a small horse show, a joint effort with pony clubbers from Fauquier County. Fall plans include a county trail ride.
Brenda Lawrence, who left this year for college, is club president. Natalie Rowland is secretary-treasurer. In addition to Jennifer Kelp, members include Kim Revis, Megan Revis, Jennifer Scherschel, Carrie Coombs, Danielle Avila, Eric Wittle and Amy Wittle. Jon Kassel, Elizabeth Osborne, Jennifer McNear, Susannah McNear, Erika Osbourne and Vincent Webb have all recently joined the group.
Leader Jane Narramore emphasized that not all the members have horses. Ownership of a mount is not a requirement for joining the club.
“Some of the kids borrow horses and participate in the activities which don’t require that you own one, like judging,’’ she said. “This club was formed for all young people who enjoy learning about horses, how to take care of them and safely handle and-or ride them.”
