laws ot motion wnen tney seemed to walk forward only to walk backwards. The delegates who made Congress possible by organizing the week did a great job planning activities. Sleeping was a rare occupation for campers during the week.
Virginia was split into sections at Blacksburg for representation, and Rappahannock was a member of a dominant Northern District. On Thursday at camp there was a 4-H Olympics with such activities as softball, basketball, earthball, and a mile run.
The district that received the most points through participation and wins received a tall sportsmanship trophy. That trophy is now in the Northern District Extension Office.
Congress reminded me a lot of school because I had to get up at 5 o’clock, eat breakfast, and go to my class. The class 1 took was on cooperatives and how they work. Then we had lunch.
Most people used their lunch period to go swimming at Tech’s olympic-size swimming pool. They aiso have 12 basketball courts where you can find a pick-up game at any time.
