Blue ribbons were awarded also for illustrative talks. Winners of these were 4-H Dog Club members Raynetta Gheen for her demonstration on the humane society, Kelly Bristol for a demonstration on the parts of a dog and Christine Lorraine for a demonstration on Doberman Pinschers.

Livestock Club

The Livestock Club met March 16 for their regular meeting, followed by a sheep clinic a week later at Slate Mills.

District Contest

Many Rappahannock 4H’ers took part in the District Contest in Culpeper. Winners who j»o to the State Contest at VPI for a week in July were: Judith Bloomerhome management, Janine Bloomer-home environment, Raynetta Gheen-Humane Society, Kelly Bristol-parts of a dog.

Dee Dee Grant went as the senior representative of the county to the Share-the-Fun Division. She sang “Kiss Me in the Rain” which won a red ribbon.
