Washington cabinet marker Peter Kramer played Santa Claus to the county the day before Christmas, offering the board of supervisors a new courthouse clock. If accepted, it will replace the old Coca-Cola timepiece that was hung over the scales of justice in the upstairs court room since time immemorial.
The impetus for designing a clock came some time ago. Kramer explained, when real estate agent Roger Bachelder volunteered to buy a clock for the courthouse. "I said not to do that, that I'd make one."
