Marx also noted that prior to the date of the shooting. Douglas had moved into his family's weekend cabin in Rappahannock in violation of a court order that he stay off the property and that he had made threatening phone calls to Marx’s family. His father's obituary was stolen from the house along with other books, papers and belongings during that time when Douglas illegally occupied the premises. Marx said.
