tennis courts, basketball court, picnic areas and exercise trail, the >* Rappahannock Recreation Authority put up the local share by giving the county title^to the recreation center on Route 211. The supervisors accepted and Rappahannock's first county park was born.
Elementary
Basketball
The Rappahannock Athletic Association is organizing a new team: elementary basketball for grades four through seven. This group will include girls and boys.
Registration will be this Saturday. January 9 at I p.m. at the Elementary school. Children should be accompanied by a parent.
Practices will start Saturday. January 16. and will be from 1-3 p.m. each week for about ten weeks. The registration fee will be $4.00 per person and $7.00 per family.
The first half of the season will be a clinic for teaching and developing basketball skills in the younger children. Following this period, the members will be split into groups based on ability. If there are enough youngsters, game will be set up for the second half of the program.
