New county officials were taking office: Mrs. Merle Scoggin was selected as Deputy Commissioner of the Revenue; the Commissioner was Mrs. ‘ Virginia Smith, John Walker Jenkins ^ was Sheriff and Everett Estes was Deputy. Jonas Alther was jail custodianand Ray Jackson an unpaid deputy.
Dorothy Leake continued 11 as secretary for the Sheriff’s Department and Georjffe H. Davis, the Commonwealth’s Attorney.
