Rappahannock New* Pholo/T. Reynolds A ROMAN FEAST in the garden at Wakefield was held May 14 as part of the school’s 9th annual “Classical Day”. Special events of the day included the performance of the play “Perseus, the DragonSlayer” by the 5th Grade Ancient History Class; contests for the most accurate costume of one of the 12 Olympian gods and goddesses and Roman legionaries, and most accurate women’s hairdo based on the Roman styles. There were also orations, a “slave” auction, and gladiatorial events.
